Preferences

Layout remembers how you eat, so you do not have to repeat yourself in every conversation. Save preferences at account.layout.link/preferences, or tell your assistant and it saves them for you.

They live on your account rather than in a conversation, so a rule you saved in Claude applies to an order you start anywhere else.

What you can save

Each preference is a short note, filed under a category:

• Dietary. Vegetarian, no dairy, an allergy, anything you never want in an order.
• Usual orders. So "my usual from Chipotle" means something specific. Layout also learns your usuals from what you actually order.
• Favorite restaurants. Places you go back to.
• Other. "No cilantro, ever" is a valid preference. So is "always the largest size."

Separately, Favorites keeps items and places you want again, as a shortcut to reorder.

Dietary rules

With Apply my dietary restrictions on, which is the default, Layout checks each order against your dietary notes and will not put a conflicting item or option in your cart. Turn it off and your notes stay saved, but orders are no longer checked against them.

How the rest are used

Your usual orders and other notes shape the order Layout builds, before you ever see the cart. They do not override what you ask for in the moment: if you say "actually a coke", the coke wins.

Two switches on the same page control this:

• Personalized suggestions. Off, and Layout builds without your usual orders and other notes. Dietary rules keep their own switch.
• Use order history for recommendations. Off, and what you ordered before no longer shapes what Layout suggests. Turning it off deletes nothing.

Removing them

Remove any preference on the same page and it stops applying from the next order. Remove everything and Layout takes each order at face value.
